Ingredients
  1. 3 large eggs
  2. 3/4 cup sugar
  3. 1 cup corn syrup
  4. 3 tbs melted butter
  5. 1/8 tsp salt
  6. 1 tsp vanilla
  7. 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
  8. 1 9" pie shell (unbaked)
Instructions
  1. Stir together eggs and sugar until blended.
  2. Stir in corn syrup, melted butter, salt and vanilla.
  3. Stir in chopped pecans.
  4. Pour mixture into pie shell.
  5. Place pie on baking sheet.
  6. Bake at 400 degrees on lower oven rack for 15 minutes.
  7. Reduce oven temperature to 325 degrees and bake 40-45 minutes.
Notes
  1. Shield with aluminum foil or pie guard if crust gets dark too fast.
  2. After you pour the mixture into the pie crust you can arrange several pecan halves on top to create a nice pattern.
