This is the BEST classic pecan pie recipe.

Ingredients
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 3 tbs melted butter
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
- 1 9" pie shell (unbaked)
Instructions
- Stir together eggs and sugar until blended.
- Stir in corn syrup, melted butter, salt and vanilla.
- Stir in chopped pecans.
- Pour mixture into pie shell.
- Place pie on baking sheet.
- Bake at 400 degrees on lower oven rack for 15 minutes.
- Reduce oven temperature to 325 degrees and bake 40-45 minutes.
Notes
- Shield with aluminum foil or pie guard if crust gets dark too fast.
- After you pour the mixture into the pie crust you can arrange several pecan halves on top to create a nice pattern.
